Project Daedalus

Project Daedalus

Project Icarus has laid out a strategic plan for the development of AMCAR Scientific's initial manufacturing and production facility; however, as with all strategic plans, we believe that the reliability and dependability of the Healthcare Supply Chain revolve around a diversified, multi-site manufacturing and production backbone. Project Daedalus was started to identify regions that will be best suited for a second, and possibly third manufacturing and production facility in the North American continent.

As with the initial site under Project Icarus, the manufacturing and production facility(ies) eventually constructed under Project Daedalus will primarily be focused on the production of medical consumables and supplies that are injection molded-based products. These products are used in large quantities throughout the Healthcare Industry, and a consistent reliable supply is crucial to the long-term stability and security of the worldwide Healthcare Supply Chain.

With the first facility site slated to be located in the Mid-West Central Southern region of the United States, and while areas in Canada and Northern Mexico have not been ruled out, Project Daedalus is evaluating areas in the Southern, Western, and Eastern areas of the United States for potential secondary and tertiary sites that can best support a diversified supply chain solution. The areas being evaluated are:

  • Texas

  • Arizona

  • Ohio

  • Tennessee

Site Selection Committee reviews are tentatively planned to begin during the late 2nd Quarter of 2024. Please check back periodically as additional details and updates regarding the status of Project Daedalus will be added to this article as that information becomes available and is released to the general public.

Thank you.
